Beijing, May 7 (IANS) More than half of Chinese families, including younger members and adults, still enjoy economic support from old parents or grandparents, a media report said Monday.

A survey released by Horizon, a consulting company, said that 52.4 percent of 1,125 respondents aged over 60 years said senior family members spend more on their children than children’s spending on them.
Most seniors help their children buy houses, cars or other urgent payouts, China Daily quoted the survey as saying.
