Islamabad, July 31 (IANS) At least one person was killed and eight were injured Sunday when a hand grenade was hurled into a hotel in southern Pakistan, officials said.

The blast took place in Hub city of Lasbela district in Balochistan province, Xinhua reported, citing local Urdu TV channel Waft.

The blast took place around 1.20 p.m. when unidentified militants hurled the hand grenade into the hotel located on a main road in the city located some 30 km northwest of Karachi.

The militants ran away after the attack, police said.

All the injured were shifted to hospital, where the condition of two is said to be critical, hospital sources said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
