London, July 2 (IANS) It was a good day at Wimbledon for Indian tennis as Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna all moved into the quarterfinals of the men’s doubles with their respective partners but Sania Mirza was knocked out of the women’s doubles here Monday.

Rohan Bopanna and partner Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France, seeded 14th, upset third seeded Austrian-Brazil pair Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(5), 6-2 in two hours and 17 minutes.
Bopanna and Roger-Vasselin will next take on Swedish-Canadian sixth seeds Robert Lindstedt and Daniel Nestor in the last eight clash.
Bopanna also had a happy outing in the mixed doubles with his Chinese partner Jie Zheng.
The Indo-China pair, seeded seventh, won 7-6 (8-6), 7-5 against the unseeded pair of Darija Jurak of Croatia and Robert Farah of Colombia.
Bhupathi and his Austrian pair Julian Knowle, seeded eight, also had to battle it out in a four setter as they beat unseeded Canadian pair of Jesse Levine and Vasek Pospisil 6-2, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in two hours and five minutes.
Bhupathi and Knowle will fight it out against the winner of the match between top seeded American duo of Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan, who won 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3) against the 16th seed Treat Huey of Philippines and Great Britain’s Dominic Inglot.
The fourth seeded pair of Paes and Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic won 6-4, 6-2 and 6-4 against the 15th seeded Polish pair of Lukasz Kobot and Marcin Matwoski.
But in the women’s doubles, Sania and her partner Liezel Huber were knocked out of the third round by. The sixth seeded Indo-American pair went down 2-6, 6-3, 2-6 to unseeded Japanese-South African duo of Shuko Aoyama and Chanelle Scheepers.
