Islamabad, June 1 (IANS) Pakistan considers the development of IT and telecommunication sectors vital for the country’s growth, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said.
Gilani was speaking Tuesday at the 24th board meeting of Universal Service fund.
The IT and telecommunication sectors, he added, had the potential to create many jobs.
Gialni noted that Pakistan earned around $1.4 billion through IT related exports annually, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.
He said more than 1,000 IT companies, including 60 international ones, operated in Pakistan.
