Islamabad, Oct 1 (Xinhua) Pakistan issued a commemorative postage stamp Thursday to mark the 60th anniversary of Communist China, and Beijing’s envoy described Sino-Pakistani relations as “higher than the Himalayas, deeper than the Arabian sea and sweeter than honey”.

Federal Minister for Postal Services Nawabzada Mir Israr Ullah Khan Zehri and China’s ambassador Luo Zhaohui unveiled the stamp issued by the Pakistan Post at its headquarters here.

Zehri said that Pakistan-China friendship spanned over half a century and was imbued by a high degree of trust and commonality of interests.

“The all-weather friendship between China and Pakistan has withstood the test of time and has prospered notwithstanding changes in the international, regional and domestic environment,” he said.

Zhaohui said that Sino-Pakistan relations were time-tested and multi-dimensional. He said Pakistan stood by China when most Western countries tried to isolate Beijing.
