Islamabad, May 1 (IANS) Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani will pay a four-day visit to France starting May 3 to hold discussions on a range of issues, including security and trade.
The two countries are likely to sign a joint declaration on security cooperation and economic partnership, APP news agency reported.
This would be Gilani’s first official visit to France. He will meet French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Prime Minister Francois Fillon, besides interacting with the business community.
The two countries are also expected to ink a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Federation of French Business Corporations and Pakistan Joint Business Council to establish the Pakistan-France Joint Business Council.
The MoU would strengthen trade in the fields of energy, telecommunications, infrastructure, banking, environment, waste management and defence.
Gilani would also visit the French senate.
