London, Aug 27 (IANS) A Briton was so upset with the incessant barking of his neighbour’s dog that he recorded it and played it back to the owner early in the morning, a media report said Friday.
Fed-up, Andrew Nicklin turned the tables on Catherine Farrell after her shih tzu-Yorkshire terrier cross Buster kept him up all night, The Sun reported on its website.
He made a CD of Buster’s yelps and used it to keep Farrell awake – playing it full blast on a continuous loop.
But jobless Nicklin, 50, wound up in court after he also began banging on her fence, hurling abuse and playing his drums loudly.
Nicklin’s lawyer Sanjeev Sharma said the pair had got on until the arrival of the dog – when matters ‘escalated to boiling point’.
The case at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court was adjourned to Sep 10.
