Islamabad, Oct 2 (IANS) Pakistanis are feeling itchy following a rise in skin diseases, a report said.
Skin diseases increased by 15 percent with average 3,275 scabies cases being reported per district in July as compared with 2,842 recorded in the preceding month, said a Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) report.
Faisalabad, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala experienced 25,827, 12,254 and 11,158 scabies cases, respectively, reported News International citing the report.
The report noted that a total 2,470,345 cases of various diseases were reported with 40 percent those of acute reparatory tract infections.
Faisalabad with 93,219 cases was the highest while Sialkot and Gujranwala followed with 45,107 and 42,472 cases respectively.
