London, March 29 (IANS/EFE) The Rolling Stones will perform at Glastonbury, Britain’s biggest music festival, organizers of the June 28-30 extravaganza said.

Rumours that the Stones might appear at Glastonbury have been circulating since the band’s 50th anniversary concert last November at London’s O2 Arena.
All 135,000 tickets to the 2013 festival sold out within two hours last October, despite the hefty price tag of 205 pounds ($310).
The other headliners at Glastonbury will be Mumford & Sons and Arctic Monkeys.
The O2 Arena show was the first time Sir Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, both 69, 71-year-old Charlie Watts and Ron Wood, 65, performed together since the 2006-07 tour that took them to 32 countries.
