Islamabad, May 5 (IANS) The authorities in Pakistan have filed a case against 22 officials for their alleged involvement in corruption of over Rs. 380 million (over $4 million) in the construction of Karachi’s Benazir Park.

The Anti-Corruption and Establishment Department (ACED), Karachi has registered a case against former director Parks, Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) and 21 other officials, including six contractors for their alleged involvement in the corruption of the park, Daily Times reported.
A special ACED team launched an inquiry into the reported corruption in Benazir Park’s construction and financial embezzlement amounting to Rs. 380 million was detected in the initial investigation, said ACED director Javed Baloch.
