Dhaka, Sep 28 (IANS) Satellite equipment worth three million taka (around $40,000) was Wednesday seized from a house owned by a Saudi expatriate in Bangladesh, a media report said.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) seized VSAT equipment, used for illegal voice over internet protocol (VoIP) processes, from a house in Chittagong port city, the Daily Star reported.
A joint team from the RAB and the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission conducted a raid at the house and found the equipment at a makeshift structure on the roof, an official said.
No one was arrested in this connection.
