London, Jan 7 (IANS) A team of seven firefighters rushed in three fire tenders when a squirrel fell from a tree and got stuck in a pond in Britain.

The squirrel could not climb back up the steep concrete walls and had to take refuge on a small island of rocks in the high street pond in Hertfordshire, a ceremonial county, Daily Mail reported.
The firefighters arrived in three fire engines after a member of the public called to say the squirrel was marooned in the pond.
The crew put a ladder so the creature could crawl along it and one fireman got into the water to help it along.
The hapless squirrel, which was stranded on reeds in the middle of the pond, was finally rescued by the firefighters as the squirrel managed to doggy-paddle to the ladder and climbed up the rungs before jumping on to dry land.
