Seoul, Oct 1 (IANS) South Korea’s trade balance posted a surplus of $3.15 billion last month as imports contracted at a faster pace than exports, a government report showed Monday.
Trade surplus reached $3.15 billion in September, up from a surplus of $2 billion tallied in the previous month, according to the report by the ministry of knowledge economy.
Exports retreated 1.8 percent on-year to $45.66 billion in September, while imports tumbled 6.1 percent to $42.51 billion over the cited period, reported Xinhua.
