London, Aug 30 (IANS) Scottish singer Susan Boyle, who makes her acting debut with movie “The Christmas Candle”, ended up redubbing her dialogues for the movie due to her “thick” accent.
“My Scottish accent was a bit thick in places so I had to re-record some of my lines so you wouldn’t need subtitles. Note to self, must enunciate more,” thesun.co.uk quoted Boyle as saying.
Boyle shot to fame after participating in show “Britain’s Got Talent”. In the movie “The Christmas Candle”, she plays the role of the Church warden’s wife Eleanor Hopewell.
The film, which is based on the eponymous novel by bestselling author Max Lucado, is due to hit the big screen later this year.
