Islamabad, July 2 (IANS) A couple from Switzerland was abducted while they were travelling in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, a police official said.
Ocholivier David and his wife Wipmerderielayy Omer were kidnapped by gunmen while travelling in Loralai district Friday, Dawn reported Saturday.
Ghulam Ali Lashari, a police official, said that the gunmen, who were in a car, intercepted the vehicle carrying the Swiss couple.
The Swiss couple had entered Loralai district from Dera Ghazi Khan.
Before entering the district, they had got themselves registered as tourists from Switzerland at a police checkpost.
Their vehicle was later found abandoned.
A search operation has been mounted for the Swiss couple.
