The Haugue, Oct 8 (IANS) Gregory van der Wiel, Jonathan de Guzman and Stijn Schaars have withdrawn from the Netherlands squad for the 2014 World Cup football qualifiers against Hungary and Turkey.

Van der Wiel arrived at the Dutch training camp in Noordwijk Monday, but after the medical examination showed he had a knee injury he left again, reports Xinhua. The Paris Saint-Germain right back had received his first call-up under Dutch head coach Louis van Gaal.
PSV midfielder Schaars (knee injury) and Swansea City midfielder De Guzman (groin) had already pulled out of the squad before the start of the training camp. Paul Verhaegh (Norwich City) and Leroy Fer (Norwich City) were called up as replacements for the three players. The squad now consists of 22 men.
The Dutch team trained with a small squad Monday evening in Katwijk. Only goalkeepers Michel Vorm, Tim Krul and Jasper Cillessen were present on the pitch, with Bayern Munich forward Arjen Robben. The others were inside at the gym in Noordwijk.
The Dutch team will play Hungary, Oct 11, in Amsterdam and will meet Turkey in Instanbul four days later. The Dutch are already certain of qualification for the World Cup.
