New York, Sep 11 (Xinhua) New York city started commemorating the eighth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center Friday morning.
The ceremony is being held at Ground Zero, where the twin towers stood, to remember those who died in the coordinated attacks Sep 11, 2001.
Nearly 3,000 people died when four planes were crashed in New York, at the Pentagon and in a Pennsylvania field.
