Budapest, July 30 (IANS) Force India delivered another strong qualifying performance in the 2011 Formula One season, with Adrian Sutil clocking the eighth fastest time, and Paul di Resta coming 11th in the Hungarian Grand Prix here Saturday.
Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel (1:19.815) pipped McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton (1:19.978) for his eighth pole of the season. Hamilton’s team mate Jenson Button (1:20.024) will start Sunday’s race at third position on the grid.
Sutil (1:21.445), who finished an impressive sixth at Nurburgring last week, was again able to get most out of the VJM04 with his time faster than of Mercedes’ Michael Schumacher (1:21.907).
Sutil came out out of the pits for his flying lap in the dying minutes of Q3 and notched up his best qualifying performance in the 11 sessions this year.
Di Resta (1:22.256) missed the final session by a whisker as Sauber’s Sergio Perez (1:22.157) edged past his time in Q2. Perez, however, did not set a time in Q3 and will start the race from 10th on the grid.
Force India are at seventh place in the Constructor’s Championship with 20 points.
