Berlin, Feb 1 (IANS) German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen have signed attacking midfielder Ludovic Obraniak from French side Girondins Bordeaux.
The 29-year-old new arrival from French cup winners Bordeaux agreed on collaboration with the Green-Whites until June 2016, reports Xinhua.
Obraniak played two years for Bordeaux with 14 goals in 68 official matches. He is also a part of the Polish international football team, for whom he has scored six goals in 32 appearances.
“We are very happy that we could convince Ludovic to transfer to Werder. We think quite highly of him. He has a lot of experience and was a really important player for Girondins. We have added a good offensive midfielder to our team,” Bremen manager Thomas Eichin told the club’s official home page.
Bremen coach Robin Dutt added: “Ludovic has a strong left foot. I think he feels most comfortable in the offensive midfield and can also play out on the wings. He will strengthen our offensive game.”
Bremen currently occupy 11th place with 20 points from 18 matches.
