Madrid, April 29 (IANS) Injured Xavi Hernandez and Gerard Pique will miss Barcelona’s Spanish Primera Liga football match Sunday night at Rayo Vallecano.
Midfielder Xavi is sidelined for around two weeks with a muscle tear in his left calf, while defender Pique is recovering from a clash of heads suffered in Tuesday’s second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Chelsea, Xinhua reported.
With four matches remaining this season, the defending champions Barcelona could see arch-rivals Real Madrid, who have a seven-point lead over Barca, virtually secure the title Sunday when they host Sevilla.
