Shimla, May 7 (Inditop.com) Temperatures across Himachal Pradesh fell sharply due to widespread rain — and the weatherman forecast more rainfall during the day Friday.
Shimla and nearby areas have been witnessing moderate rain since Friday morning.
“There are reports of rainfall across the state too,” Manmohan Singh, director of the meteorological office here, told Inditop.
He said the rainfall would cause the maximum temperature in the state to fall by two to four degrees Celsius.
There were also reports of snow in the higher reaches of Kinnaur, Kullu, and Lahaul and Spiti districts Thursday night.
Shimla recorded a high of 24.5 degrees Celsius Thursday, while it was 19.7 degrees in Kalpa in Kinnaur district.
The met department said rain and thundershowers would continue till Saturday.
