New Delhi, May 26 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday greeted the nation on the occasion of Buddha Purnima Thursday, recalling the Lord’s message of non-violence, love and compassion.
In a message, he said that Lord Buddha stood for ‘non-violence, love, compassion and brotherhood.
‘Let us follow Lord Buddha’s message and eschew all forms of violence and work for the welfare of the downtrodden and underprivileged,’ he said.
