Lahore, May 28 (IANS) Militants stormed a mosque in the Pakistani city of Lahore Friday throwing hand grenades and opening fire on the people inside the building.

The attack was carried out at Garhi Shahu area of Lahore, the capital of Punjab Province, Xinhua reported.

The militants threw hand grenades and opened fire on the people inside the mosque, the Geo TV reported.

A Taliban group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
