London, June 6 (IANS) ‘Two and a Half Men’ star Charlie Sheen, who is currently behind bars for assaulting his wife, will spend a part of his jail sentence working in theatre.

The actor is eligible for work release and he has been granted a job at Theatre Aspen, where he will help coach actors and aid the fundraising department, reports contactmusic.com.

Officials have given their approval for the role. But a judge will have to approve the submission when Sheen attends court Monday.

The actor was arrested for attacking his wife Brooke Mueller at the couple’s ski retreat in Colorado on Christmas Day.
