New Delhi, June 23 (IANS) The Indian capital will have to wait for some more days for monsoon showers. Until then, Delhites will continue to sweat it out.
The city reeled under heat and humidity Wednesday, with the minimum temperature touching 33.7 degrees Celsius, five degrees above average for this time of the year.
The minimum temperature rose by a degree from Tuesday’s 32.6 degrees, while the maximum is expected to remain the same at 44.3 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The maximum humidity touched 53 percent.
‘There will be no rain in the coming days and the weather will continue to be warmer,’ an official said.
The summer has been made worse by erratic power supply in some parts of the city.
