Beijing, July 9 (IANS) Fifty-four Chinese firms are on the Fortune Global 500 companies list by revenue, with three in the top 10, a media report said Friday.
Three Chinese companies — Sinopec, State Grid and China National Petroleum — ranked seventh, eighth and tenth respectively, the China Daily reported, citing the latest ranking issued Thursday.
China’s private firm Huawei Technologies entered the list for the first time, ranking 397th.
US retail giant Wal-Mart regained the number 1 spot, with revenue of $408.2 billion, leaving behind oil companies Royal Dutch Shell and Exxon Mobil.
The oil-spilled BP and recall-slapped Toyota did not seem to be affected by their business troubles, ranking fourth and fifth, respectively.
