New Delhi, July 11 (IANS) The city experienced some rain in a few areas Sunday even as the humidity level hovered around an uncomfortable 60 percent, the weatherman said.

According to an official of India Meteorological Department (IMD), the humidity level, which was unbearable since the past few days, have come down to 60 percent.

‘The humidity may not increase in the coming days, but 60 percent is still high in Delhi,’ said the official.

The maximum temperature recorded was 36 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 26 degrees Celsuis, both a notch above normal for this time of the year.

‘On Sunday afternoon, traces of rain were reported in places like Safdurjung, Lodhi Road and Palam,’ added the official.

The capital has so far received 116.2 mm of rain, 23 percent more than the average.
