London, July 12 (IANS) Singer Melanie Brown and her husband Stephen Belafonte have been sued for over $1.4 million for beating up a real estate agent.

The former Spice Girl, also known as ‘Scary Spice’, and her husband are accused of beating up real estate agent Amado Aguirre after mistaking him for paparazzi, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Amado is demanding $350,000 in general damages, $35,000 in medical expenses and $100,000 for loss of future earnings, $1 million in punitive damages and $10 for lost earnings.

The incident is said to have taken place in December last year when Amado was taking pictures of a house he needed to value when the couple and an employee, Amin Zahedi, intimidated him and physically injured him, leaving Amado with a broken hand and neck and back injuries.
