New Delhi, July 12 (IANS) India and Oman Monday signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in culture, which will increase exchange visits by writers and artists.
The agreement was signed by Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Jawhar Sircar and Oman’s Ambassador Humaid Al-Maani.
According to a government press release, the agreement comes into force immediately for a period of five years.
The agreement encourages exchange of visits by cultural, art and literary delegations and also promotes relations on heritage conservations.
It also calls for organising cultural and art weeks in each other’s countries, as well as cooperation in the protection of intellectual property rights.
