Los Angeles, July 18 (IANS) Socialite Paris Hilton was reportedly detained in France after less than a gram of marijuana was found in her purse, but was later released.

The 29-year-old was held after arriving at the Figari airport from Paris. She was, however, released without charge. It is also being said that Hilton was en route to Sardinia, Italy, reports usmagazine.com.

On Saturday afternoon, Hilton took to Twitter to clarify the reports and wrote: ‘Just to put an end to these rumours. The stories saying I have been arrested are completely false! I am having the best vacation of my life! What an amazing summer! I feel so blessed and grateful for everything. I Love Life!!’

The reported incident is Hilton’s second brush with the law this month. Earlier this month, she was detained for possession of the drug in the South African city of Port Elizabeth during the World Cup. However, her representative later declared the incident a ‘complete misunderstanding’.
