Ahmedabad, July 23 (IANS) Gujarat Minister of State for Home Amit Shah’s anticipatory bail plea was Friday rejected by a special CBI court here.

Shah had applied for anticipatory bail after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had issued him two summons to appear before it in connection with the killing Sohrabuddin Sheikh in an alleged fake shoot-out in 2005.

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has been accused of killing Sohrabuddin near Ahmedabad. His wife Kauser-Bi has also been missing since then.

Police claimed the dead man was a Lashkar-e-Taiba operative.
