Raipur, May 3 (Inditop) With temperatures hovering around 46 degrees Celsius during the last week across Chhattisgarh, the state government Sunday issued an advisory asking people to follow certain measures to beat the heat.
The advisory, put out by the Directorate of Health Services, appealed to people not to come out of their houses during the heat wave without taking food and water.
“Must take food and water before venturing out from houses in day time. People should properly cover head and ears with cloth while coming out on the road during heat wave,” the advisory said.
It asked people to immediately consult a local doctor if symptoms of heat stroke like dry mouth, high fever or severe headache develop.
Health officials said dozens of people suffered from heat wave in the state and have been admitted to government district hospitals since April 22. At least 72 people have been hospitalised at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government Hospital here alone.
