New Delhi, July 26 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Monday said it will introduce an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha Tuesday on the issue of rising prices of essential commodities and the fuel price hike.
‘We will bring an adjournment motion in parliament tomorrow (Tuesday),’ S.S. Ahluwalia, senior BJP leader told reporters after an hour-long meeting of NDA leaders at the residence of BJP leader and NDA parliamentary board chief L.K. Advani.
‘Every household — whether it is the poor, middle class or affluent — is affected (due to price rise). We are taking their message to parliament with a censure motion, this is the decision that we have taken,’ said Ahluwalia, who is also BJP’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha.
On Sunday, the BJP had announced it would bring an adjournment motion after a meeting of its parliamentary party executive, which was chaired by Advani.
