New Delhi, July 28 (IANS) Opposition leaders continued their protests against rising prices in the Rajya Sabha Wednesday, forcing an adjournment soon after the house met.

The house was adjourned till 12 noon. The trouble began as soon as the house assembled for the day when all opposition members went on their feet demanding a discussion on price rise under rule 168, which entails voting.

Some members of the ruling party were also up on their feet asking for question hour.

Repeated pleas from Chairman Hamid Ansari fell on deaf ears and the slogans continued. Finally, Ansari had to adjourn the house.
