Abu Dhabi, July 28 (IANS/WAM) A court in the United Arab Emirates has sentenced a Pakistani man to three months in jail for helping a Yemeni national get a visa by fraudulent means.
Abu Dhabi Court of First Instance sentenced the Pakistani for using a medical test form belonging to a Yemeni national, who also received a similar sentence.
Imprisonment will be followed by deportation for both of them.
The Pakistani national was arrested when he approached Abu Dhabi department of preventive medicine for a medical test required for residency visa application. He confessed the form belonged to a Yemeni national who asked him to undergo the medical test instead of him.
The Yemeni, who had tuberculosis, was later arrested. He told the investigators that he wanted to hide his disease.
