New Delhi, Aug 3 (IANS) Light showers were experienced in some parts of the capital Tuesday and they are expected to continue even Wednesday, a Met official said.
An official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the capital received rainfall of 0.4 mm from 8.30 a.m Monday to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Drizzle of 0.3 mm was recorded from Tuesday morning till 5:30 p.m.
The maximum temperature hovered around 34 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 26.8 degrees Celsius. Both were normal for this time of the season.
The humidity levels oscillated between a high of 92 percent and a low of 68 percent.
‘There will generally be cloudy skies with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers by Wednesday,’ the official added.
The maximum temperature for Wednesday is predicted at around 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum will hover around 26 degrees Celsius.
Delhi has recorded a total of 315.5 mm of rainfall so far this year, one percent more than the average.
