Dubai, Aug 5 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates has culled 500 sheep infected with brucellosis, a disease that both humans and animals can contract.
Legal action has been taken for culling the animals as their importers violated the regulations in force in the UAE, the ministry of environment and water said.
The ministry asked wholesale livestock breeders and importers to log into the website or check with the ministry to learn about the conditions required for the import of live animals and the quarantine measures required in the country of origin.
