New Delhi, Aug 24 (IANS) A Bangladeshi national has been arrested in north Delhi for human trafficking, police said Tuesday.

Mohammad Jalal Khan was involved in trafficking of Bangladeshi nationals to various countries using forged Nepali passports, police said.

‘Khan was arrested near a foot overbridge in Majnu Ka Tila area, while he was waiting to deliver a forged passport to one of his clients,’ a police official told IANS.

During interrogation, Khan admitted that he was a Bangladeshi citizen staying illegally in Delhi. He used a forged Nepali passport to conceal his identity.

Police have recovered six Indian passports, eight Nepali passports, five Indian electoral identity cards, eight Nepali citizenship identity cards, nine blank Nepali citizenship identity cards, Rs.50,000 in Nepali currency, a Bangladeshi passport and identity card and a visa sticker of Canada with immigration hologram strip.
