Mumbai, May 5 (Inditop) A key index of the Indian equities markets was ruling a little above its previous close about an hour before closing bell Tuesday.
The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 12,159.74 points, was ruling 17.16 points or 0.14 percent from its previous close Monday to rule at 12,151.91 points.
Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was up 0.4 percent from the previous close to trade at 3,668.45 points.
Broader market indices were doing better with the BSE midcap index gaining 1.86 percent, while the BSE smallcap index was up 1.82 percent.
