Raipur, Sep 1 (IANS) A policeman in Chhattisgarh shot himself dead Wednesday after killing his colleague in a fit of anger, police said.
The incident took place in Rajnandgaon district, some 75 km from here.
Constable Ramnaresh Thakur, who was posted at the district jail at Rajnandgaon town, had a fight with his colleague Iqbal Hussein.
He first pumped two bullets into Hussein and shot himself minutes later. Both of them died on the spot.
Rajnandgaon district Superintendent of Police B.L. Meena confirmed the incident to IANS over the phone and said investigations were still on.
