Jerusalem, Sep 2 (IANS) Two Israelis were wounded Wednesday night in a shooting attack in the West Bank, media reports said.

The victims, a man and a woman, were travelling in a car when they were shot at 11 p.m. local time (2000 GMT). The man was in critical condition and the woman sustained light injury, Xinhua said, citing a report of Israel’s Channel 10 TV.

The incident, which happened at Rimonim Junction near Ramallah, is the second similar attack against Israelis in two days. Gunmen Tuesday evening killed four Israeli civilians travelling in a vehicle near Hebron.

The two attacks occurred just before Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas are about to relaunch direct peace talks in Washington Sep 2.
