Kolkata, Sep 16 (IANS) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi Thursday said the prices of essential commodities were coming down and hoped they would decrease further following a good monsoon.
‘The prices are coming down, and the inflation rate has come down to 8.5 percent,’ Gandhi said at a media meet here.
‘The prices will come down with time. The monsoon is good. So the pressure will ease,’ said Gandhi.
He, however, likened the price fluctuation to the global economy. ‘The world has changed. The connectivity between our system and world is increasing. This leads to issues though there are advantages also.’
