New Delhi, Sep 27 (IANS) It was a bright and sunny day in the capital Monday, bringing much relief with days left for the Commonwealth Games to kick off. The India Meteorological Department has said it will not rain in the next few days too.
The temperature remained at average with maximum recorded at 33.7 degree Celsius, while the minimum was around 23.1 degree Celsius.
The met office has meanwhile forecast a clear sky for Tuesday as well.
‘The sky will remain clear and there is no chance of rain on Tuesday,’ an IMD official said, adding ‘the coming few days may remain clear’.
Humidity remained high with the maximum touching 93 percent, while the minimum was 38 percent.
Delhi saw one of its wettest monsoons this year as the rainfall has crossed 1,031.5 mm, 63 percent above seasonal average.
‘It is good that we are not having rains, it will only make the clean up of the Village difficult as it is difficult to pump out water from the basement, where the major work is left,’ a Delhi government official said.
