Mumbai, May 14 (Inditop) Indian equities markets opened weak Thursday, with a key index opening 245 points lower than its previous close.
The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened the day at 11,774.04 points, 245 points lower but pulled up a bit to trade at 11,804.35 points, still 215.30 points or 1.79 percent lower than its last closing figure.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the broader S&P CNX Nifty index was also in negative terrain, losing 59.6 points to be at 3,575.65 points.
Broader market indices were also in the red, with the BSE midcap index ruling 1.1 percent down and BSE smallcap index trading 1.27 percent lower than its previous close.
