Aligarh, Oct 13 (IANS) The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has sanctioned Rs.3.90 lakh for laying an astro-turf at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), an university official said Wednesday.
‘The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) experts will undertake the exercise of laying the astro-turf. It will revive the game in the university,’ AMU spokesperson Rahat Abrar said here.
The synthetic hockey turf is expected to be in place within a year.
