New Delhi, Nov 4 (IANS) With just a day left for Diwali, a thin layer of smoke and mist covered Delhi Thursday. The weather office, however, forecast clear skies during the day.

‘There will be mist in the morning, but the day will remain warm and sunny. The evenings will again have a thin blanket of mist and smoke due to bursting of firecrackers,’ an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

Delhi reported a minimum temperature of 15.7 degrees Celsius, two degrees above the average for this time of the season. The maximum temperature Wednesday is expected to hover around 29.8 degrees.

Humidity was oscillating between 50 and 88 percent.
