New Delhi, Nov 30 (IANS) Delhi Police Tuesday said they obtained relevant clues from the four people detained in the call centre employee’s gangrape case and had ‘almost’ identified the vehicle used by the four rapists to abduct the victim.

The four men who were detained Monday are being questioned further.

‘We are still questioning the four men who were detained Monday. A vehicle of a similar make, one like that used in the crime, has been more or less identified,’ said Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) H.G.S. Dhaliwal said.

Though there have been no arrests yet, Dhaliwal said that the four have given clues which are very relevant in the case.

‘The detained persons are very relevant to the case,’ he added.

The 30-year-old BPO staffer from Mizoram was abducted by four men and gangraped in a moving goods carrier on Wednesday last week.

She was abducted soon after being dropped along with another girl, 100 metres from her home, by her office vehicle in Dhaula Kuan area in south Delhi late night.

The men then drove all the way to Mongolpuri in north Delhi and dumped her there.

Police said investigations are going on in full swing with 15 special teams formed to investigate the case, two sketches of the suspects released besides several suspects being questioned and the statements of three witnesses being recorded.

According to police, CCTV footages have also been looked into minutely, and even the mobile phone records of suspects residing in Mongolpuri area have been checked through.
