Hong Kong, Dec 11 (IANS) India’s Saina Nehwal defeated Germany’s Juliane Schenk to move into the final of the Hong Kong Open Super Series badminton tournament here Saturday.
Saina, seeded second, won 21-19, 17-21, 21-12 against the sixth seeded Juliane in 53 minutes at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
In Sunday’s final, Saina will face third seeded Chinese Shixian Wang, who defeated her compatriot and top-seed Xin Wang 21-13, 21-14 in the other semi-final that lasted just 31 minutes.
