London, Dec 13 (IANS) A driving instructor in Britain groped women learners after telling them it was ‘punishment’ for motoring mistakes, a court has been told.

Barry Morgan, 58, would turn the heating up in his car so that his women victims would remove their tops. Then he would insist on squeezing ‘their wobbly bits’ if they made driving errors, according to The Sun.

A former soldier in the Falklands War, Morgan reportedly tried to put his hand inside the bra of a 17-year-old and ran his hand up her skirt. The woman cancelled her next lesson but Morgan still made her pay, the Plymouth Crown Court heard.

Police checked with other learners and found three women with almost identical experiences.

‘He accompanied the touching with banter, saying he was squeezing them as a penalty for mistakes in their driving,’ prosecutor Jonathan Barnes said.

Morgan, a resident of Plymouth, who was sacked from his job, admitted sexually assaulting four women while working for the British School of Motoring.

He got a suspended 12-month jail sentence, plus 240 hours community work from the court. He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years.
