New Delhi, Dec 20 (IANS) The week got off to a bright start Monday as a shallow early morning fog gave way to a bright sun in Delhi. The mercury is expected to dip in the coming days, the weather office said.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature recorded early Monday was 7.5 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.

‘The maximum temperature was also an average 22.7 degrees Celsius. The temperatures are expected to dip in the coming days,’ an IMD official said.

The humidity level wavered between a maximum of 92 percent and a minimum of 35 percent.

The minimum and maximum temperatures Tuesday are expected to be around 7 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively, the Met office said, adding that early morning will see a shallow fog cover.
